Women in Construction Mentorship Program
Applications for the 2021 Women in Construction Mentorship Program are now closed
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program provides women in the construction industry with a variety of opportunities to expand upon their technical and industry experience and knowledge, as well as assistance in building a network of subject matter experts and ProQM suppliers.
This 6-month mentorship program will focus on small group mentorship, with 3 women accepted per intake*. We believe that the size of this program will allow for each mentee to gain the most from their experience, by ensuring that we can tailor our mentorship to best serve and support you.
If successful, you will join us at ProQM for one day each month (over the allocated 6-month period). Each day will focus on a different area of construction, to best ensure that you are obtaining well-rounded knowledge from your experience. Of the 6 days, 5 will be structured by ProQM, and the remaining day is to be decided by you, based on your unique needs and responsibilities.
The program will add here to the following structure:
Orientation and introduction to the fundamentals of inspection and supply chain quality
(to be used at any point in your mentorship program) :
A day of your choice. For example, this could be a free inspection from ProQM, or an additional networking opportunity.
There will also be two networking events organised by ProQM to be held during the first and last months of the program.
To be eligible for the ProQM WIC Mentorship program you will need to hold:
Current engineering or quality assurance role on a Victorian construction project.
Posses the required qualification and training for your role, including construction induction (white card).
This program will be most beneficial to women who have less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
