In Australia'demanding climate, coating quality is paramount to the durability of your asset. ProQM have spent countless hours and days, refining the coatings inspection and testing process to provide our clients with the piece of mind, that their assets are being coated to the specific specification outlined to the coatings applicator.
What is NACE
NACE International, The Worldwide Corrosion Authority, serves nearly 35,000+ members in 130 countries and is recognized globally as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions. To become NACE qualified, each candidate is put through rigourous training and examinations prior to becoming a NACE inspector.
What ProQM offer
There are many facets to coatings, ProQM have been trained and are equiped with the latest equimpment, to provide rigourous testing to ensure that corrosion protection is in place. Some areas include:
Dry film thickness (DFT)
Adhesion testing - various forms
Pull off testing - calibrated form of adhesion testing
Wet sponge testing, also knows as Holiday testing
Spark testing - High Voltage spark testing
Surface preperation - Profile & Contaminants
Dry Film Thickness - DFT
Checking the dry film thickness, once each layer of coating has cured, the thickness is checked to esure it meets coating specification and product design specification.
Used to determine if the paint or coating has adhered properly to the substrates to which they are applied.
Pull off testing
Measured by assessing the minimum tensile stress needed to detach or rupture the coating perpendicular to the substrate.
